HOW ASTROLOGY FOUND ME
I have been into all things spiritual and interesting and weird since I was a kid. In my late teens, I started learning about shamanism in many of the different cultures it was part of: Native American (primarily Ojibwa), Celtic (my own heritage, being mostly Scottish), and Sami (Scandinavian nomadic followers of reindeer, also in my bloodline). I read tarot quite a bit too for awhile. And read my horoscope a lot!
I had always been interested in really learning astrology properly, beyond just reading what it said on astro.com or whatever website/astrologer I was into following at whatever time in my life. It just always seemed like it would take more time than I had on hand.
And then came 2020. I now had time and motivation to figure out what I’m really here for. (More on that later!) I joined an online astrological community, and started absorbing as much as I could. I got readings from several of my favorite astrologers along the way that have been really informative, helpful, and heart-felt. I mentored with one of them for awhile. Took regular courses from another… make that several others. I’ve been learning a lot from Modern astrologers (more psychological) and more ancient styles (spookily practical). And, I am hooked. This stuff has been more effective than therapy for me! I am also convinced that I have been an astrologer in a past life (at least one), and possibly in Medieval times. I know that may sound corny, but this is an astrology website, and it’s mine, so if you’re digging the weirdness, read on!
Over time, I have found I can give people some solace in the crazy times they may be experiencing with pointing out some of what’s happening in the sky right now, and how that may be affecting them. I have also been giving readings for a few years now, and clients are finding my reflections back to them as comforting, insightful, and maybe just that little kick in the pants they needed to hear.
Most of my work has been by word of mouth, and now I’m ready to share my gifts with those who may not know me yet, or do, but would like to get to know themselves better still!
MORE ABOUT ME
I live in Ann Arbor, MI, USA, with my husband, Chris, and our cat, Vladimir (and a yard often full of wildlife!) By day, I am often designing web applications and helping maintain a few rental units in Ypsi to higher standards than is required. Evenings and weekends, I might be practicing bellydance, pilates, yoga, and/or giving astrology readings! And/or traveling somewhere fun if I’m lucky!
